ABOUT

Thanks for visiting my website! I currently live in Colorado with my amazing wife, three great kids, and two psycho cats. I pay the bills by day as an engineer and satisfy my passion for writing whenever I can. I published my first novel, The Tattered Box, in 2016, reaching Best Seller status for Historical Fiction on Amazon in October 2017. I have also authored more than 20 technical papers and am an inventor on more than 40 patents. If you’re a geek like me, buy me a beer sometime, and I’ll tell you all about them.

My Passion

I love life, and perseverance is what drives me. I push myself to do things I never thought I would. In 1999, I ran the Twin Cities marathon. Believe me, I don’t look like a marathoner. For 10 years, I have ridden a 150-mile bike tour to support Multiple Sclerosis research (my sister was diagnosed in 1992). I golf, bike, ski, hike, kayak, and do everything that the beautiful state of Colorado has to offer. And I have traveled to more than 20 countries around the world.

Oddly enough, that’s where writing come into the picture. I never thought I’d write a book. Sure, I always liked writing, but the idea of completing a draft of a novel, let alone getting it to the point of publication was beyond me. That’s when my first story landed in my lap. I was taking my son, Josh, to school the day before my father-in-law passed away, and he thought it would be cool if somehow, someway he could travel back in time and hang out with his grandpa, he’d love to get to know him as a friend. My father-in-law was such an awesome storyteller, and loved his sports – golf, baseball, bowling, you name it. He was hilarious, too. So I ran with the idea and wrote my first novel, The Tattered Box. It is largely based on the life of my father-in-law with some hearty fiction woven in to complete the story.

I was hooked. While I continue my job as an engineer, I also fulfill my passion for writing. I love writing complex stories about families, relationships, and inter-generational legacies. I am currently working on my second novel, Because of You, and hope to publish it by end of 2019. I also have other stories swirling in my head and can’t wait to share them with you.
